1. Scope of application

These terms govern contracts for accommodation in the hostel’s rooms and beds. Subletting, or using the rooms for purposes other than overnight accommodation, requires the prior written consent of Fundación PROMESA. Any different terms shall apply only if expressly agreed in writing.

2. Formation of the contract

The contract comes into existence when Fundación PROMESA accepts the client’s booking request. If a third party makes the booking on the client’s behalf, that party shall be jointly and severally liable with the client for the obligations arising from the contract. All client claims expire after three months.

3. Services, prices and payment

Payment for the accommodation is made in advance, in accordance with the conditions of the rate selected when booking. Prices include applicable VAT. Fundación PROMESA may revise prices if the client requests changes to the number of rooms or beds, to the contracted services or to the length of the stay. For groups (from 15 people) a confirmation deposit will be required; failure to pay the deposit will result in cancellation of the booking with no right to compensation.

4. Cancellation policy

Individual travellers (fewer than 15 people): free cancellation up to 14 days before arrival. Between the 13th and 7th day before arrival, the price of the first night will be charged. With less than 7 days’ notice, or in the event of a no-show, 100 % of the price of the stay will be charged.

Groups (15 or more people): the confirmation deposit is non-refundable. Full payment for the stay must be made no later than one week before arrival. Termination of contracts entered into with Fundación PROMESA must be communicated in writing.

5. Cancellation by the hostel

The hostel may cancel the booking if the required deposits are not paid on time. It may also terminate the contract on an extraordinary basis for objectively justifiable reasons, such as breach of the hostel’s house rules.

6. Availability, arrival and departure

Check-in is available from 2:00 pm. There is no arrival deadline: reception is open 24 hours a day. However, we advise letting the hostel know if you expect to arrive late at night. Check-out must take place by 11:00 am at the latest. The client is not entitled to be assigned a specific room or bunk.

7. Conditions of admission

Adults must present a valid national ID card, residence card or passport. The maximum stay is 7 nights per month, extendable by prior arrangement with management. Young people aged 16 and 17 need written authorisation from their parents or guardians. Children under 16 may only stay in private rooms with their families, except in the case of organised groups with their leaders. Pets are not allowed.

8. Meals

Breakfast is included in the accommodation price. A special breakfast can be requested for groups. Half board or full board can be arranged for groups of at least 20 people, requested at least two weeks in advance.

9. Liability

The client is liable for damage caused by their negligence. The hostel accepts no responsibility for belongings left unattended in common areas or for the contents of lockers that have not been properly locked. Use of the equipment and facilities in the recreation areas is at the client’s own risk.

10. Final provisions

Any amendment to these terms must be made in writing. The contract is governed by Spanish law. The place of performance and payment is the hostel’s registered address.
