Your stay
What are the check-in and check-out times?
We are open 24/7. Check-in is from 2:00 pm and check-out until 11:00 am. If you arrive earlier, you can leave your luggage for free in our storage room.
What is included in the price?
The accommodation price includes bed linen, an individual locker and continental breakfast (coffee, juice, toast and pastries). And if you don’t bring towels, don’t worry: you can rent them at reception.
What is breakfast like?
We serve a continental breakfast included in the price: coffee, milk, juice, toast and pastries. It’s a simple, no-frills breakfast designed to start the day with energy — and it’s part of how we keep hostel prices. If one day you fancy something heartier, there are cafés just a few minutes away.
What do I need in order to stay?
Valid ID: national identity card, passport, driving licence, Spanish residence permit, or an identity card/document for EU residents.
Who can stay?
There are no age restrictions — all you need is a young spirit. Stays are limited to 7 nights per month (extendable by checking with management). Minors must occupy full rooms and need parental authorisation if travelling alone.
Is there WiFi?
Yes, there is free high-speed WiFi throughout the hostel, and two computers with a printer in the common room.
Location and transport
How long does it take to reach the centre of Madrid?
The bus drops you at Puerta del Sol in 15 minutes. The metro (a 5-minute walk, L9 Vinateros) takes you to Retiro Park in just 3 stops. See all the options on Location.
Is there parking?
We don’t have our own car park, but the area has no regulated parking and it’s easy to park for free on the street. Group coaches can use Madrid’s SEA system.
What does Scout Madrid Hostel offer that I won’t find elsewhere?
Full connection to the centre of Madrid without the downsides of the centre: we are in Moratalaz, a quiet, friendly neighbourhood full of wide green spaces. And at reception we’ll help you plan activities and buy show tickets.
Groups and collectives
Do you accept groups? From how many people?
It’s our speciality! We host groups from 15 people: study trips, university associations, youth organisations, sports teams, leisure-time schools, NGOs and faith organisations. Check the Groups & Collectives page and request a no-obligation quote.
Do you offer meals for groups?
Yes: continental breakfast (coffee, juice, toast and pastries) included, and lunches and dinners with menus adapted to allergies and intolerances. We also prepare packed lunches for excursion days.
Do you have rooms for meetings or training?
Yes, our training centre has a multipurpose room for 100 people (divisible into 3), two 30-seat classrooms and four meeting rooms for 6–12 people, with loan of projection, sound and IT equipment.
